The next Dave’s Pick is Dillon Stadium, July 31st 1974.  That’s all fine and good and I’m sure it’ll sound marvelous and all, but man, this has long been one of my favorite audience recordings of all time.  A good soundboard is nice, but nothing captures the sonic massiveness of the Wall of Sound like a good audience tape.  Like this one.  Bill Degen’s tape nails it.  I’m not saying don’t pick up the new release - they tweak these things out beautifully for your living room speakers.  But do yourself a favor and check out the AUD.
