this might be a more familiar sight

i wish this place hadn’t been demolished; i always really wanted to check it out when i was a kid. i envisioned myself going there when i got older and imagined what it was like for my dad when he went in the 70s as well as his mother who attended the year it opened. i had a complicated thing for the past even back then. 

it’s also slightly depressing that this is the best picture i can find of my elementary school (cahaba heights represent) or what’s left of it, rather. maybe i should take some myself. or [insert blatant invitation to anyone actually competent with a camera to tag along on the adventure]
